Frequently Asked Questions

Everything about how AiLoveKit works - privacy, file handling, formats, and limits. If your question is missing, contact us.

General

Are AiLoveKit tools really free?

Yes - completely. Every tool works without accounts, subscriptions, daily limits, or watermarks. The suite is funded to stay free for everyone.

Do I need to create an account?

No. There is no registration anywhere on AiLoveKit. Open a tool, drop your file, and get the result.

Where are my files processed?

Entirely inside your browser tab on your own device. There is no upload endpoint - you can verify this in your browser’s Network tab, and the tools keep working offline after the page loads.

What browsers are supported?

All current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari on desktop and mobile. We recommend keeping your browser up to date for the best performance.

Is there a file size limit?

There is no artificial limit - the practical ceiling is your device’s memory. Files of several hundred megabytes work fine on modern hardware.

Can I use AiLoveKit offline?

Yes. Once a tool page has loaded, disconnect from the internet and it keeps working - proof that nothing is sent to a server.

Privacy & Security

Do you store my files anywhere?

No. Files exist only in your browser’s memory while you work, and they disappear when you close or reload the tab. We never receive a copy.

How can I verify there is no upload?

Open developer tools (F12), switch to the Network tab, drop a file, and run the tool. You will see zero requests carrying your file. You can also switch off Wi-Fi mid-task - the tool keeps running.

What analytics do you use?

We keep analytics to an absolute minimum and never combine them with file contents - because we never have file contents. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Is this GDPR compliant?

Yes. Since document content never reaches us, there is no content to process, store, or delete on request. Our GDPR page explains your rights in full.

What happens to files in my browser history?

We never touch history or bookmarks. The only local storage we use is a small preference store (theme and tool handoffs) described in the Cookie Policy.

PDF Tools

Does merging PDFs reduce quality?

No. Our merger copies page objects directly (text, vectors, fonts, images at native resolution) instead of re-rendering pages as images, so output quality matches the originals.

Can I password-protect a PDF?

Yes - Protect PDF applies 128-bit encryption entirely on your device. The password is never transmitted anywhere because there is nowhere to transmit it.

Does OCR work on scanned documents?

Yes. OCR PDF recognizes text from scans using an on-device recognition engine - no cloud OCR service is involved.

Can I fill and flatten PDF forms?

Yes. Fill PDF Forms detects text fields, checkboxes, radio groups, and dropdowns, lets you fill them, and optionally flattens the result.

How does redaction work?

Redact PDF permanently flattens marked regions into the page image, destroying the hidden text underneath - unlike annotation-only redactions that can be reverted.

Can I remove metadata from a PDF?

Yes. Remove PDF Metadata rebuilds the document without author names, software tags, timestamps, and other embedded identifiers.

Image, Text & Developer Tools

Which image formats are supported?

JPG, PNG, and WebP across the image tools (compress, resize, watermark, EXIF removal).

Does image compression reduce quality?

You control the quality/size trade-off with a slider. The compressor re-encodes efficiently; for photos, 70-85% quality typically looks identical to the original at a fraction of the size.

What does Remove EXIF actually strip?

All embedded metadata: GPS coordinates, camera model, timestamps, and software tags. The output is re-encoded with clean metadata.

Are the developer tools (JSON, JWT, Regex, QR) safe for sensitive data?

Yes - the same zero-upload model applies. Your JSON, tokens, and patterns are processed locally and never leave the page.
